Types of Hair Coloring
- Hair bleaching - Usually a two-step process to obtain softer hair texture. First the hair is bleached and then a color toner is applied.
- Hair highlighting, streaking weaving and foiling - Highlighted hair adds visual depth and texture to your hair. You can add lighter strands overall or just in specific areas as well as "low lights" to add darker shades of blondes or warmer browns. Let us weave different natural looking hair colors into your hair for beautiful effects.
- Semi-permanent hair color - Also called glazing, color stain or washes. Semi-permanent is used to obtain gentle boosts of color with no visible roots. This process boosts hair shine and texture by coating the hair with a non-peroxide hair color that gradually washes away naturally over 4-6 weeks. Semi-permanent rinses can help control hair frizziness, is gentle on your hair, and a great way to experiment with new hair colors.
- Permanent hair color - To cover gray hair, permanent coloring breaks down the hair cuticle and deposits new pigment into the hair shaft. Permanent hair color covers gray hair more extensively. At Karen's Makin Waves we can educate you on the use of Ph balanced Hair care products to keep your hair in tip-top shape.
